Arrowtown is an ideal base for your snow holiday
Just 20 minutes’ drive from Queenstown Airport, is perfectly positioned between Queenstown and Wānaka, giving easy access to the district’s ski fields and a cross-country skiing complex. With a slower pace than Queenstown, everything you need on your doorstep and a community feel, it’s easy to see why visitors choose Arrowtown for their winter home away from home. Coronet Peak
2024 SEASON 16 June – 24 September
The closest ski resort to Arrowtown, Coronet Peak offers spectacular roller coaster terrain suitable for all abilities and epic views of the Whakatipu basin. Coronet Peak hosts night skiing on Wednesdays, Fridays and some Saturdays in July and August, and the ski resort also holds events and concerts during winter. They also offer a great kids club “Skiwiland” for children 3 years and up.

Cardrona Alpine Resort
2024 SEASON 15 June – 13 October
Cardrona is a fun and family-friendly ski resort with the most reliable snow conditions in the region. The ski resort offers the most extensive terrain park facilities in the Southern Hemisphere and a variety of terrain for beginner to advanced snow lovers. Cardrona also has a great kids club plus childcare from 3 months to 5 years allowing you child free time up the mountain.

The Remarkables
2024 SEASON 15 June – 13 October
The Remarkables ski resort is known for being one of the best mountains for progression and offers terrain for all levels – from off-piste black runs and daring chutes to wide-open learner slopes, making it super family friendly.

Snow Farm
2024 SEASON 28 June – 22 September
Snow Farm is in the Cardrona Valley and offers cross country skiing, back country skiing, snowshoeing, and overnight huts. Snow Farm also has a dedicated Snow Fun Zone, filled with tubes and snow so you can slide down hills, build snowmen and start a snowball fight. Bookings are required.

Treble Cone
2024 SEASON 28 June – 28 September
Treble Cone has 550ha of skiable terrain, a massive 700m of vertical, and is the largest ski area in the South Island. Head to TC for the South Island’s longest 4km groomed run, epic views or its legendary off-piste terrain.
