Arrowtown Millennium Walk

This is a tree-lined 4.2km loop trail along the banks of the Arrow River which forms part of the Arrow River Bridges Trail.

Built by the Otago Regional Council in 1998 to commemorate 150 years of European Settlement in Otago, the trail travels downstream to Tobins Bridge, past the site of the Criterion Quartz Mining company and also the location for “The Gladden Fields” of Lord of the Rings.

When you reach Tobins Bridge, you can either return back to Arrowtown or continue on. If you choose to continue on, Tobins Track can be accessed on the other side of the bridge, or you can do a loop walk of the river via the crossing the next green bridge about 15-20min further down.
