Bush Creek in Arrowtown is the Wakatipu Reforestation Trust (WRT) newest keystone planting site. WRT Trustees were able to plant just a few natives at the end of lockdown, so they are excited to be planting approx 900 natives here this Saturday, and they would love members of the community to join them.
As you can see from the photo, this area is pretty barren. Volunteers will be working with our community to bring back the native biodiversity! Come along with your gloves and shovel, water and a hat, friends and family. It’s drop-in style and everyone is welcome to stay as long as you like. Absolutely no experience is needed!
Date & Time:
Saturday 12 Sept, between 9am - 12pm
Location:
Bush Creek (park in the carpark behind the Chinese Village, and walk along the Queenstown Trail to the left. Our WRT flag will be displayed at the start of the track). Map
